S4 E24 WAS SO GOOD!!!

at first i thought it was going to be a fan service-y callback to early TNG -- the goo on the hostile planet reminded me of the goo that did tasha yar in.

instead it ended up being a great premise with a wild ending that really inspired my imagination. goddamn i don't want this season to end.

i enjoyed reading all of this voyager content. i'm excited to know whether you've continued. i also just recently purchased the *new* voyager video game which is not amazing but nonetheless fascinating.

i personally just rewatched all of s6 over the last couple of months and it was a bit of a struggle overall, but i still love it. y'all are correct that s4 overwhelmingly rips, though. this rewatch, though, i kinda latched on to s2, actually.

i played the demo and found it a bit janky, but reviews from Voyager fans have been generally positive so it's on my list!

i think s2 is the season where they Maquis drama was given the most room to breathe? such a shame they basically throw the premise away for a TNG-style monster of the week format after that. i think s2/s3 have some of the most distinctive "Voyager" feel to them and i love them for that

i have begun watching (as of recently) the first season of TOS. i watched a couple of the movies back when I was a teenager and they were good from what I remembered, and the couple of TNG episodes I watched out of context always captivated.

so far I think I'm mostly just astounded by how fun TOS is - silly old fashioned effects now yes but man, it's just a joy to watch. lots of fun plotlines, even if a couple of them end out coming a bit contrived with almost sixty years of hindsight.

omg me too. and now i'm a lifer.

i'm working my way through all of it, and TOS, slowly, is next. after i finish that i will go through the animated series, and then there is the recent YA show star trek: prodigy that i missed.

i've seen one season of TOS so far, and i am also astounded by how genuinely fun and genuinely not annoying it is in 2026.

yes! it is such a pleasant surprise - shows how well it's written, i suppose! hard to make something feel relevant (or if not relevant then not completely out of tune) sixty years after it was recorded, but TOS really does seem to overwhelmingly be a rare bird in that sense.
