i know i know
but it's actually pretty cute AND it has multiplayer if anyone wants to play together
pokopia
added <3Yes!!! It's very good. Best parts of Viva Pinata, Animal Crossing, and DQ Builders... hours just fly by. let me find my friend code

my favorite part so far is that kyogre has the personality of a surfer bum
i have been playing a LOT of this game
i really enjoy it. the viva pinata feeling of finding new environments for pokemon and seeing them come to visit is so satisfying.
I discovered "Mouse" mode for building last night and it makes block placement/destruction SO much easier. Definitely more inspired to build cooler structures now.
I love the game, but being a contrarian and constant complainer I just need to vent here:
my complaints are (light spoilers):
- cooking to break certain rocks - whyyyyyyy
- "humidity" concept is baffling
- "sky" level is a pain in the ass to navigate, the other stages have a sort of natural exploration flow but the floating platforms or flying breaks the flow.
- pokemon are found at different evolution stages, would be way cooler if they could evolve to get the higher levels. I don't want all 3 abra evolutions running around! if you wanted to keep it at a stage you could just use an everstone like in the other games
- no shinies :(
- locating items i own is challenging across different biomes. I KNOW I have a parasol in one of my boxes, but I don't know where it is...
- if you can make minecraft-style houses, and animal-crossing-style dens, why would i ever build a "den" type house for a pokemon, can't see any of their cool stuff.
- my pokemon can be "very happy" but it's not clear what this does - they just keep handing me things like rocks and fruit?
- Pokemon Center has a party healing thing... excited to see what that is for, if it's just PP recovery a bit of a letdown.

rip i have lost interesting :( but my partner has been utterly obsessed with it and i've enjoyed watching him play.
i got all my areas to level 10, and got one big secret pokey
after that.. game kinda falls flat. though I think the butt island feature is great, being able to async build up a town with friends is great, makes me want to do better builds. ultimately at that point it's kinda just creative mode but it's a good time
