I’ve been watching a lot of NHK tv via their app. The 72 hours documentary series is SO GOOD!!! They spend 3 days at one location interviewing staff and customers and every part of it is so touching.

Comfier to watch on streaming stick / Apple TV but it looks like they do have web app now https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/shows/72hours/

I recommend picking whichever one sounds the most mundane

imagine having fun on ur island home, when some marketing company decides to kidnap you because their TV network is too boring. u just wanna keep doing ur King Kong thing, destroying shit, kidnapping humans, and then end up getting absolutely wrecked on some moonshine. u wake up, hungover, like this being dragged to work.

Anyways King Kong vs Godzilla (1962) is very silly.

The Return of Godzilla (1984) is a sequel to the original 1954 release, rebooting the series. The earlier Showa Godzillas get hella camp hella fast and while that's quite fun, and it was cool to see this one return with a bit of the scary!

I watched Godzilla 2000: Millennium last night. Kind of fun that there's a on screen representation of the Y2K bug, but my favorite is that often something would happen and then they'd cut to Godzilla for his reaction just for a plain >:| face
OMYGOSH GODZILLA MENTIONED, AND SPECIFICALLY GODZILLA 2000!

I really really like g2k, even if it's a notably messy and rushed movie. The new suit definitely has some odd angles to it and the plot is a bit all over the place and never really settles long enough to have any legitimate stakes to it, but I absolutely love the way Orga messes with computers and stuff (especially since it means we get a bunch of turn-of-the-millennium computers being shown off.) I wish they'd have kept the purple/orange colored spines for longer, they look really awesome and make this specific ziller stand out. The revised version of the suit that shows up for GxMG is a hundred times better, but they almost made it too much like a wild animal, I spent my most recent rewatch wishing I could pet it.

Such a banger movie, the vibes in RoG are so good. That Tokyo set is absolutely incredible, all the scenes with Godzilla being totally dwarfed by the buildings feel like such a tangible change compared to the Showa series. There are definitely some rough angles for the suit but I like how terrifying it can look in certain scenes. The score!!!!! Such a fantastic soundtrack for Godzilla's big re-debut.

It's kind of dumb as it's not even a proper show, but I've been oddly obsessed with fallout lately and I've been watching youtube videos about the games. Things that go deep into the lore, or try to beat the game with weird restrictions just for fun.

I'm kind of in a place where I'm so tired at the end of the day I don't have the energy to watch something that requires focus or emotional investment.
