i almost brought my gaming laptop on this short trip to see my dad just so i could jump right on it. i did that for re8 lol. but my survival horror wife is not with me so i'm saving new RE til i get home.
i was initially excited for re9 because it seemed like a departure from the Straight Goofin' of re8 and the Ethan Goop of re7 but once I learned Leon was a playable character I got less enthused. Still looking forward to it though.
i rolled credits last night... we can discuss once you've finished
i described some indie shmups i used to play in high school to claude because i have spent years trying to remember their names; robot found them both and now i am re-acquainted with warning forever and rrootage.
(Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator 6 required)
no luck running in browser i guess :P

xfinity having an outage all day and i NEED TO INSTALL RE9 FOR TONIGHT'S GAMING PLEASURE
i wanna dig into the bulletml/gp stuff and see if i can find source. more importantly i have to get rrootage going.
Trying out this Loops video thing, supposedly it's like TikTok but open source! Anyways, will be going through tons of bosses in retro and modern games on my channel, as that's what the channel is about rn.

oh garsh loops i know about that, i authored this: https://dansup-open-letter.github.io/
i think it's chill now, but the maintainer is just an all around weird vibes guy
I've a growing addiction to Abiotic Factor. I'm not a fan of horror games in general...but I did enjoy Half Life and Half Life 2, which the game was heavily influenced by.
Despite the spooky parts, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm also taking my sweet, sweet time getting through the story bits
Desynced is a close second, but I can't play it on the Steam Deck without a heavily modified controller layout so I'm not in it as often as I wish.
My friend and I are playing Pokemon HGSS together and battling each other after every third gym. I'm currently at a point where I have to wait a full week before I can play again, but hot damn does it have its hooks in me! HGSS just has such a nice vibe to it, I feel a little sad when I can't play because I like being in the space so much.
This will also probably be the first time I actually get to the postgame! When I used to play as a kid I never got past the Elite Four, so seeing Kanto again through a new lens will be fun. Plus, Red fight!!!
Still playing Megaman X2 - kinda stuck on a X-Hunter boss, the 2nd one. The 2nd X-Hunter boss is Serges, and he has 2 forms effectively! I need to get some upgrades for X probably, like more E-Tanks and Hearts. Wish me luck! Also, I might go back to streaming on Twitch, and if I do, I'll post a link on here!
i finished RE9. it was fun throughout. I liked it so much more than 8. i can imagine replaying it but i don't think i'll jump right into hard mode.
otherwise i've picked up Into the Breach again after not liking it on my first try. i like it more, now. I have also gone back to Nier Automata which is a pretty cozy game for me I guess.
oh and all last week I was at GDC which was fun/interesting. I was mostly overworked on the combo of real job + video game museum stuff. We threw a fun Halo LAN party and a GDC after party at the museum.
