nier automata

i'm chillaxing my way through this game for the second time; i first played it on my ps4 when it came out.
it's good. i'm enjoying it more this time around. when i first played it i was still "new" to video games -- i went without them from 2008 to 2015, pretty much, and if something didn't play like a 90s crpg / boomer shooter / early open world thing like gta/morrowind i was baffled by it.
i think when it was new i expected nier automata to be something else entirely? and it frustrated me in lots of ways.
now i can just enjoy it for what it is (a weird existentialist art project wrapped up in a aaa game) and it hits a lot nicer.
i also did not realize how much i think its UI design influenced me.
