Physical Firewall recomendations

Been home labbing for the better part of a year and finally thinking about opening up my server to the internet for friends/townies. My goal is to isolate the server on its own NIC on the firewall to keep things separate from the rest of the home system. My question is: are there any firewalls that you know of that I can pick up for under 300 bucks? The issue that I am facing is that I do not particularly know the difference between a good and a bad device.

I can't speak to price, but I know that my coworker-turned-friends generally like using fortigates for their home setups. To be fair, this is probably because we get so many of them basically for free from client sites, but their interfaces are really intuitive once you get used to them.

Note: just looked it up, the most common firewall we repro (a fortigate 40f) is about 2-300 on ebay from a cursory glance. May be worth checking out!
