Children's Card Games (MtG)

I recently tried out Magic: The Gathering and unfortunately it's a lot of fun. I've been avoiding the game for years because it seems like an expensive hobby, but I have a bunch of friends who are into it and I finally broke down and gave it a try. The rules are stupid intricate (the official rules document is a 300+ page pdf ), but that makes it a fun game for the rules lawyer in me.

I grabbed a couple of the Bloomhaven commander decks, currently playing the bunny deck which is fun and weird because a core mechanic is gifting cards and other items to your opponents.

I used to play MtG back in the 00's -- still have all my cards -- bought a "Starter Pack" a few years ago to see what's new with the rules, and it only had a link to the online rules, so I never got around to it and have no idea what's going on still -- the art is still cool as ever...

i've so far played one single game of magic the gathering and decided that it is too dangerous to let me near it because it's very very addictingly fun
