So I was poking around in my darkroom for the first time in over a year when I came across this old print. What's funny is that while I don't remember it, the fact that it was tossed aside means that at the time I intended to throw it away. Now, I kind of like it though. It's funny how we change isn't it?

Oh yeah I dig that print! It is always funny what photos you make and don't feel too strongly about, but then end up resonating a lot with others. When I started I'd get prints of all the photos on a roll, and it was always surprising what random prints I didn't want that others fought over.
As for some of my own work, in January, I was inspired by a friend to put together a year-end favorites page:
https://skalnik.com/2025/ The order shuffles on load, but if you pause on an image the URL is sharable for that image

I'd argue more a persistent than specifically good. That 2025 retrospective is about ~100 film photos. I shot over 2500 total on film last year, which means just 4% of my photos were something I enjoyed enough to throw on that site. Hit rate is even lower on digital where I shoot so much more indiscriminately!
BUT Unrelated to this, I threw some postcard prints in the mail this weekend and thought, hey maybe sickos would be into a print exchange. Just a small sign up of sending someone else a print of your choosing, low stakes, no specific requirements. Could be fun!

I would LOVE a print swap! That would seriously motivate me to finally get my darkroom cleaned up and operational again <3
Should we make a dedicated thread for a print swap?

I'm returning to life out on the road this coming week and will be taking lots of pictures of nature and landscapes. I've done this before and I have a bunch of photos posted to my website already. You can check them out, and I will share some of my highlights of upcoming places with this thread later.
