Aw man Wild at Heart is one of my all time favorite movies. It's the only reason to own a snakeskin jacket.

Enjoyed catching up on your notes, agafnd <3
I definitely saw the Straight Story in the art theater an hour away when i was 11. I do not recall enjoying the experience. I also did not realize it was david lynch until many years later but it explains in retrospect why my film obsessed brother / film enthusiast father wanted to take the family to see it.

re: the elephant man: what an incredible second movie. and it exists, and all of lynch's following films, all kinda because mel brooks and his producer happened to have loved eraserhead one night? (i feel confident lynch would have made it all happen anyway, but yeah. history is weird.)
