we had a lot of weird leftovers so i made a fucked up biryani:
- fry garlic chunks in peanut oil with chili crisp
- toss in sad CSA snap peas and leftover broccoli from the night before
- cube some japanese fish cakes and toss in
- add old basmati rice from indian restaurant
- fry two eggs and put on top
i seasoned with nice japanese soy sauce, datu puti spiced vinegar, fish sauce, onion powder, turmeric
it's perfectly palatable if not odd. it includes notions from chinese, indian, japanese, thai, and filipino cuisine so that's a 5x fusion dish right there

People keep giving away lemons, so I keep trying to figure out what to do with them. Social media influenced me with some "Atlantic Beach Pie" which is a saltine crust (woah!) a pretty simple lemon custard (into it) and whipped cream (aw yis, love the hand made not too sweet stuff). I followed
https://www.southernliving.com/recipes/ ... -beach-pie, but I found another recipe which uses more saltines for more crust and I think that is the move next time.
Ended up being delicious and not too much work!
