Obsidian!
Yaya! I mostly use it for my pathfinder campaign notes, but I've been trying to rally to get it at work. It's such a good basic productivity tool, and it being totally free (unless you want to host shit on their butt) is sweet
i'm a big fan, i use it for organizing individual projects and i also have a "memex" vault that contains everything from random thoughts/ideas, book recommendations, gaming backlog, shell snippets, etc.

Obsidian is so good! I've basically just been using it as a little personal wiki where I keep the results of rabbithole deep dives!
A vault of hard-fought and curated knowledge
It's always cool to see how others use it so I can magpie the things that look like they might work for me too!
oh that's great! how's the brush dev experience
Surprisingly comprehensive!
AzPainter,
in total, is like 1.3 MB, so the fact that you have a brush engine where you can adjust pressure curves, textures, brush shapes, addition modes, mixing, and like a dozen other things between a bunch of different tool types really is pretty impressive to me!
Like, it's not an exaggeration to say that this is probably the GUI program that starts the fastest on my box, and yet...

Yeah! A Japanese dev named Azel straight-up made
their own GUI library from scratch, and implemented
a pretty nice drawing program with it! (
among other things)
One of my favorite artists mentioned it was the drawing program they used, and after checking it out, it ended up being my drawing tool of choice on Linux too!
