this would be a cool plugin
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... ttopicsng/
i would like to see a feed of new posts aggregated from each board and it seems this would do that
EDIT: i just realized i can see unread posts by clicking Quick Links > Unread Posts or New Posts, or just Recent Topics. I didnt realize these were there at first, this extension would make that functionality more obvious but its not really a big deal
added it! the link is at the top by FAQ, and you can go into your user control panel -> board preferences -> edit display options to have it appear on the index if you want. i'll do some touching up to make it less awful when displayed on the index, looks awful rn

Any scope for reaction emoticons/emoji on posts? I realize this may be too Web 3.0 but it’s nice to be able to acknowledge I’ve had a reaction to someone’s post without having to reply
i have also found myself wanting this. i think as long as the reaction set is a carefully curated collection of anachronistic tiny gifs and not emojis we're good
same here. curse smartphones, etc

I think a favicon would be nice (unless there is one and I just can't see it) the grey blob that we have now looks a tiny bit out of place in my list. Plus, maybe we could have a contest to make one?

Yes! I was thinking the same thing a day or two ago. I was just gunna slap together a small Sickos duder but a contest sounds even more fun.

huh the favicon shows up for me? hmm, maybe try a hard cache reset? or load it directly and see if your browser picks it up after that
favicon.ico

that said if people don't like the favicon or want to do a contest for a new one i think that's a cute idea too.
might also be that this crusty old phpBB doesn't have the tags set up right for modern favicon definitions so i'll look into that
