i ended up going to a mushroom hike (more of a walk with lots of stopping) with a retired sfsu lecturer this morning. was nice to see a new park. didn't find any truly mesmerizing mushrooms but DID find and pet an alligator lizard that was chilling under a log.

mushroom foraging is the most fun of all time! i've only picked up chantarelles but have always had fun

oh cool it was a repurposed tablet? bummer it died!

truly a bummer :< it served me well but I think it was time I upgraded, running a server off your wifi isn't exactly good for speed.
Said upgrade is a Toshiba Satellite from 2004 running the latest alpine linux. less ram than the tablet but it's actually got an ethernet port this time

i never had any plans this weekend, on friday i was really looking forward to getting home to play some VR assetto corsa on my sim rig but WINDOWS PROBLEMS have broken my VR framerates and i spent hours troubleshooting instead of playing :( only to find no solution too

been playing fortnite instead of vr, stayed up until 7am playing with a friend and now im tired lol

Going to the bookstore, not looking for any particular book, just looking around! Probably will do that this Saturday!

i'm gonna be working again and painting my kid's room !

cooking, school, other academic work, and tilde30 starts on sunday so that too

it's only monday, but i'm already dreaming of the weekend again

i'm going to likely take it easy- a day for laundry, and primarily keeping my hands busy with crochet because its my new beloved time sink. i am so determined to finish my silly little blanket.

also hopefully getting in some writing with my roleplay writing partners (one's for a supernatural city setting over on jcink forums, the other is about vampires with my best friend)

usually i'd have an outing with someone i've been seeing, but he's out of town, so it's a cozy pjs and slug around in bed day for me. maybe ill go thrifting for funsies :3

supposed to go to a birthday party tomorrow but i'm sick :C so i will probably just lay around but given it's not supposed to be so hot i might try to take a walk. i haven't left the house since monday.

im hiking into a canyon tomorrow. thatll be fun!
